Lower Taxes, Smaller Government and More Liberty

Welcome to the Benton County Tea Party

Meeting are held every 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00

Benton County Public Services Building

1204 SW 14th Street

Bentonville, AR 72712

The meeting this month will be a recap of the elections and what

we need to focus on in the coming months.

This will be an open meeting to hear ideas from all the members with new ideas.

I also am looking for members that want to get more involved in their community by going to the Benton County Quorum Court and city meeting and letting our group up on whats going on that we should be concerned about. Things like school board, special elections and anything else that they feel

is important that we may be able to stop or help get passed. We need people in Rogers,

Bentonville, Siloam Springs or any area that can help us all be informed about our county.

There are issues like Benton County wanting to spend 50 million on a new courthouse

when our  pension fund for our county workers is underfunded.

We also need to be putting pressure on our State Rep. Steve Womack and some of the

big government ideas he supports and his favorite the internet sales tax.

We also are looking for a secretary for our group.

Hope to see you there! Scott

Tuesday June 17th. Thank-you!

Also, Benton County Tea Party has been offered a seat at the table of

"Neighbors of Arkansas"
This is a very interesting video on instant run off HERE
It explains what our guest speaker mentioned 2 meetings ago.
I would like to know if anyone in our group is interested in taking that seat for us.
They are focused on state legislative and local offices only.
The recent events in the state legislature, in which the majority of Republican legislators
voted to implement a barely-disguised version of Obamacare despite
their campaign promises,  highlights the need for an alternative to
centrally-controlled party politics. At the very least, forming an
Independent Task Force within in our group will help put pressure on
existing political parties to reform and give us candidates who are
for limited government while in office, not just while campaigning. If
you are not a member of the county committee of either party and think
you might be interested in being a part of such a task force, let me
(Scott Widen) know.

Finally, Please invite any friends or neighbors to this and future
meetings and spread the word that the Tea Party is alive and growing
and we are and will be a factor in the local, state and national
elections by teaming up with like minded groups across the state.

To Liberty!

Here is a great video that explains what Obamacare is doing to us without any political agenda - Left or Right!

We are happy that you found us and are wanting to get involved or rejoin!

As of August 1, 2013 our group is excited to have a fresh group of board members. We are grateful for all work the current and past members that helped to get this group started and have helped build a base of people that believe in small government, lower taxes and liberty.

We are excited and energized to fight to get our country back to the roots that the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution established.

We want to join forces with other Tea Parties and groups across the state of Arkansas and country to lower our taxes, stop deficit spending, balance the budget, shrink the government, fix the education system, fight Obamacare, elect constitutional candidates and hold them accountable. The list goes on and on.

We will be meeting with our members in August to find what issues we believe to be our top priorities and where we can make the most difference.

If you are not a member of our group, please consider joining. We want people that want to make a difference no matter how much they can contribute in time or money.
